What should be paid attention to when welding and cutting paint buckets containing flammable and explosive products?
Because paint buckets are often used to hold flammable and explosive products such as gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, etc. It is very easy to cause explosion accidents by rashly welding and cutting paint buckets containing these flammable and explosive products. Before welding and cutting such paint buckets, construction personnel must take safety measures. So what safety measures should be taken when welding and cutting paint buckets?
1. During welding and cutting, no fire source is allowed within 10m near the work site, and operators are not allowed to wear chemical fiber clothes and work shoes with nails.
2. During construction, first open the injection port and ventilation port on the paint bucket, and place the paint bucket upside down and diagonally, so that the remaining flammable liquid in the paint bucket is discharged and the flammable gas escapes. Use lighting appliances and reflectors with a rubber explosion-proof shell with a voltage of not more than 12 volts to check whether there is any undischarged sediment, dirt, waste, etc. inside the paint bucket. If so, clean the inner wall of the paint bucket with soda or caustic soda solution after elimination. In order to weld and cut as soon as possible, compressed air can also be introduced into the paint bucket through the injection port. When the mixed concentration of flammable gas and compressed air in the paint barrel is lower than 10% of the lower limit of its explosive concentration, repair welding is carried out.
Only when welding and cutting the paint bucket containing flammable and explosive materials can the above safety measures be taken to avoid personal injury.
